Brantford Travel Guide
Welcome to Brantford!
While hockey fans will no doubt recognize Brantford as the hometown of hockey legend Wayne Gretzky, those who have visited the Southern Ontario city would equate it with much more than that. Located an easy 1 hour drive from Toronto on the 403, Brantford is home to the meandering Grand River (designated as a Canadian Heritage river) and a stretch of the Trans-Canada Trail, attracting all sorts of outdoor enthusiasts. Many activities are just minutes away, including canoeing, hiking, fishing and bird watching. Brantford also has much to offer those in search of Southern Ontario history. Historic sites include the Bell Homestead, where guests can visit the former home of Alexander Graham Bell, and the Woodland Cultural Centre, where First Nation culture is celebrated and explored. Aside from the natural and historical attractions, there are also a multitude of cultural venues, golf courses and local shopping areas for visitors to explore.
